We're looking for friendly and caring people to join our team of Support Workers!

About the role:

The Support Worker’s role is to deliver person-centred care and activities to participants at our Waitara day program. Work side by side with our participants as partners to help them reach their goals and build their independence. You will be providing active support which includes but is not limited to personal care, mobility support and more.


This is a permanent part-time role with a minimum of 18 hours per week.


Shifts are 9am – 3pm Monday through Friday.


Duties:

  • Support our participants in engaging with their community and trying new activities.
  • Make sure our participants feel safe, secure and cared for.
  • Interact positively with participants, families, carers and stakeholders.
  • Accompany participants on excursions or outings.
  • Ensure familiarity with participant’s profile and emergency plan.
  • Personal care.


About you:

  • Willingness to work with vulnerable people of all ages.
  • A commitment to following high standards of care.
  • A current valid Australian Driver’s License and access to an insured vehicle.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • A NDIS Worker Check.
  • A Working with Children Check

Having experience or qualifications in Community Service, Aged Care, or a related field is desirable but not required. We want someone with a heart for helping people in a respectful and empowering way.
