Reconciliation Clerk

Tasks and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will report to the Head of Depositary & Ancillary Services and be responsible for assisting the team to ensure the following duties are duly performed:

  • Ensure an adequate set-up, control, cross-checking and dispatching of reconciliations reports;
  • Day-to-day reconciliation of the Bank’s ledger versus 3rd party statements;
  • Identification of pending amounts, communication to the concerned parties and accurate assistance in case of trouble-shooting and/or inter-departmental / inter-banks issues;
  • Follow-up of settlement of pending cash / securities within a reasonable timeframe and provide assurance that all the correspondent bank statements are received in due time;
  • Monthly compilation / dispatching of accounting reconciliation sheets to the concerned parties and confirm an appropriate follow-up of the related outstanding booking;
  • Preparation of the monthly overdraft interest analysis.
  • Provide assistance to the creation/amendment of reconciliation procedures and checklists;
  • Assisting direct supervisors on any urgent matters;
  • Participate to projects and initiatives to help contribute to the enhancement of processes and to the improvement of reconciliation duties.


Skills and qualification:

  • Proven experience of 2+years in the bank and financial sector;
  • Technical expertise in the areas of Custody and Fund Accounting business and in financial instruments such as Equities, Bonds and ideally also such as Derivatives, Collaterals and other similar types of instruments (e.g. OTC trades, Futures, Forwards, Options and Swaps, Commodities, CDS, Repo/Securities Lending…);
  • Good analytical skills dedicated to precision with a focus on continuous improvement;
  • Good level of IT and PC software skills;
  • Technical knowledge of Olympic and Corona is an asset;
  • English is mandatory and. Any other language is a plus.
