We are seeking an experienced R&D manager to lead a team of 6-8 developers and 2 QAs in our website platform development team. The ideal candidate should have a combination of management skills with deep technical understanding of the React and Node JS stack.

- The “Websites Platform” group develops and maintains an in-house solution that serves as a platform for dozens of websites in large scale traffic global environment, multi-brand, multi-lingual spread in wide geo locations.
- We are in the process of transforming the platform for headless SSR solution based on Node JS, and React.JS
- Our infrastructure heavily relies on AWS services such as: EC2, SNS, SQS, S3, CloudFront, K8S

Requirements:
You must have
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on React and Node JS
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams of developers and QA's.
- Strong technical background and understanding of web development best practices, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Up to date architectural knowledge, good understanding of microservices approaches and design patterns.
- Proven production ownership of large-scale systems

Responsibilities:
What will you be doing?
- Lead a group of ~10 talented software engineers and QA engineers.
- Drive process improvements and optimization to increase team efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for the website platform development team.
- Contribute to the technical design and architecture of the platform, providing guidance and oversight to ensure best practices are followed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Be part of the R&D management team, designing and leading the product’s technological roadmap & vision.
Advantages:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing a remote team
- Experience with Cloud solutions preferably AWS
- Practical knowledge of K8S and Dockers
- Practical knowledge of Ci/CD processes
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience working with ecommerce platforms is a plus.
