We are looking for you



Senior Business Partner, Innovation



to join our global Business Finance team. This role is located in Espoo, Finland and occasionally requires presence at our office in Porvoo as well. We work where we are most productive and offer the opportunity to work flexibly either onsite or remotely. In order to promote cooperation and a sense of belonging, we also meet regularly face-to-face.



You will act as a Finance Business Partner for Neste Innovation which is part of our DNA. You will be a member of the Innovation Leadership team, reporting in the matrix to the EVP Innovation. More about the job



In your role, you will


  • Provide consolidated view of Innovation Unit performance, including P&L, Capex, CF and KPIs
  • Understand business/unit and main drivers behind value creation and drive business case evaluations
  • Drive for standard and automated periodical reporting process for the Innovation
  • Develop forward-looking insights of Innovation performance against plan/targets
  • Handle ad-hoc requests and perform in-depth analysis for relevant areas
  • Ensure data correctness and controls
  • Proactively identify areas and actions for improving financial reporting and analysis and be an advocate to train end-users on self-service reporting capabilities
  • Participate in and lead special projects

The best combination to succeed in this role


  • Master of Science in Economics or Engineering or other relevant university level degree
  • Solid financial background
  • Experience of business case financial modeling
  • Project management experience e.g. agile
  • Experience of business reporting, reporting tools and reporting improvement (e.g. Excel/Sheets, SAP, PowerBI, Hyperion, data analytics)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and good presentation skills
